Greetings to the members of the Korean Neurological Association! I hope all of you have been well.

With the interest and support of all of our members, the Korean Neurological Association has been progressing forward every year. In March of last year, the Korean Neurological Association journal (JCN) was registered in the SCIE which has led to greater support from the medical field (Korea Academy of Medical Sciences) and from government research organizations (Korea Research Foundation), and in October, the joint conference ¡°Unification & Globalization" provided the opportunity for the members to unite as one. Such unified efforts from our members have propelled the status of the Korean Neurological Association not only domestically within Korea, but internationally as well.

This year¡¯s 28th Annual Meeting of the Korean Neurological Association, which will be held from the 8th to the 10th of October at the KINTEX in Ilsan, Korea, has planned to receive extensive support from the Korean Neurological Association, and has set the theme of the conference as ¡°Harmony and Globalization" in the hopes of directing the conference to increase further international academic exchange. By utilizing the opinions of the participants of the 27th joint conference, and by incorporating the results of analyzing the outcome of the 27th conference, we have prepared an academic program that will allow the participants to more easily discuss academic results and also strengthen interpersonal relationships. During the 4 days of conference, the 1st day is scheduled with lectures and symposia with discussion opportunities on topics that specialists related to neurology should know. The 2nd and 3rd days are scheduled for special lectures, symposia, presentations, and poster presentations regarding the latest issues in neurology, and the 4th day is organized with symposia and workshops covering clinical topics related to general hospitals and private clinics. This year¡¯s conference also incorporates the 4th Korea-Japan Joint Symposium with increased English oral presentation sessions and plenary lectures by professor Stanley Fahn and professor Norman Latov, to provide an opportunity to expand international academic globalization. The opinions of our participants are continuously reflected in our academic programs, and we are always grateful to the participants who provide us with valuable feedback regarding the programs, and we will continue to do our best to prepare programs that are useful and meaningful for all of our participants.

We welcome and invite everyone to this year¡¯s 28th Annual Meeting of the Korean Neurological Association. The advancement of the Korean Neurological Association rests on the active participation of our members and the participants of the conferences. I hope that all of you will join us and actively participate in the 28th Annual Meeting of the Korean Neurological Association, and I wish all of our members will enthusiastically interact with each other in discussions and exchanges for the mutual enhancement of our academic development.

Best Regards,
